Photography found me

Today, I specialize in brand, product, and food photography, along with brand design and social content strategy. I don’t just take pretty pictures. I help you create visual assets that move your audience to action. Whether you're launching a new business, refining your personal brand, or finally ready to stop hiding behind a Canva template, I'm here to help you make your next move your most magnetic one yet.

Hello,
I’m Tasha Payton
My love for photography sparked when I was a teen living in my hometown of Los Angeles, CA.
I used to work part-time on Saturdays at this really cool photography store in my neighborhood. The owner was amazing and taught me how to express myself creatively through photography, which was awesome since I'm 98.5% introverted. With the money I earned that summer, I was able to buy my very own camera - a Pentax K1000 35mm! I still have the camera with me today.
I have always had a keen interest in the arts in one way or another. I was particularly fascinated by the storytelling aspect of motion pictures and wanted to explore it further. At the age of 16, I enrolled at the American Film Institute to study film directing and screenwriting. It was an intimidating experience as I was the only female and youngest student in the class, not to mention being a woman of color, which was unusual then.
Throughout my creative journey, my love for photography has always remained constant and has continued to grow. I have had the privilege of working as a graphic designer and editorial photographer for several renowned magazines, such as Motor Trend, Hot Rod, Teen, and Sport Magazine. Later on, I also worked as an art director and product photographer for seven monthly trade publications.
In recent years, I have mainly worked as a food, beverage, and product photographer. Now, I’m fully immersed in brand photography and I love it! I believe that brand photos should be a complete reflection of the commitment, expertise and passion you bring to the table. I go deeper than just a perfectly composed picture—I capture the heart you pour into your business. Whether you're launching a new venture or ready to take your brand to the next level, I've got your back. I'll be cheering you on as you step out to share your story.
